  • Extend foundational coaching knowledge with deeper applied content
  • Apply advanced periodization and programming concepts
  • Learn through case-based scenarios that mirror real coaching

Do not be a victim of your own success

A quick look at our field tells you the numbers do not work out. There are fewer junior assistants than interns, fewer senior assistants than junior assistants, one director per department, and high performance manager jobs so rare they sometimes do not exist.

At every level, coaches fall to the wayside. The most common reason is being a victim of the success that got you to the previous level and repeating the same behaviors. The intern who gets by on enthusiasm and availability plateaus when those same habits stop scaling.

The job becomes more complex the higher you rise, and your coaching must evolve to match it if you are to climb the ladder and stay there.

Get out of the dreaded middle

Why do some coaches reach the very top before 30 while others languish as assistants for decades? We studied the fast risers and identified three traits they share, and built Fundamentals 2 around them so you can implement them while avoiding the mistakes that keep coaches underpaid, overworked, and easy to fire.

Depth: the best coaches are masterful technicians, pairing broad theory with outstanding practical application. Technology and systems: until you are measuring, you are guessing, and those at the top leverage data to get better results faster every year. Integration: the best paid managers are facilitators who put the athlete at the center and become the hub through which information flows and decisions are made.

The result is another 20 hours of taught material plus 20 hours of self-directed study, built on the Fundamentals 1 curriculum but far more applied. One focus: results in the real world.

The three traits of the fast risers

    Depth

Pair broad theory with master-level practical application: right athlete, right training, right amount, right time, adapted quickly when the situation demands.

    Technology & Systems

Measure, close the loop, and iterate. Leverage technology and systems to make data-informed decisions and manage both training and the people in the building.

    Integration

Become the facilitator and the hub. Understand how everyone in the building does their job, and help them put the athlete at the center of everything.

    Results

20 hours taught plus 20 self-directed, built for the real world, so you become the most well-rounded practitioner possible.

How to know this course is NOT for you

    What does it cost? $1,000

Premium education, priced at the same level as Fundamentals 1. By now you have likely returned many times the value of Fundamentals 1, and Fundamentals 2 can make the difference of tens of thousands of dollars over your career earnings.

For comparison: one 3-credit course at an online university runs $966 to $3,204 for a semester. That puts Fundamentals at 18 to 38% of the cost of ONE three-credit course. You could buy it five times over before matching a single course at Concordia University Chicago.

You also get exclusive discounts on SCN memberships if you are not already a member, plus discounted pricing on subsequent levels of this series and future sport-specific courses.
