Warm Up & Games Templates

Make warm ups competitive.

If you want warm-ups that are competitive, organized, and built from real D1 experience, this is it.

Training should be one of the best parts of their day. That does not mean it is not hard. They will still sprint fast, lift heavy, compete, and get tired. But the session should not feel like punishment. It should feel intentional.

The problem most coaches won’t admit

You might:

  • Be limited on space
  • Be limited on equipment
  • Share a court
  • Run big groups in tight windows

Or maybe you are just burnt out trying to invent a new fun warm-up every week. I was. Until I learned from Tucker, who sharpened this approach inside a D1 men’s basketball environment at Maryland under Kyle Tarp.

High standards. Limited time. No wasted reps.

What you get

Two detailed PDFs including:

10 structured warm-ups

With coach instruction and athlete demonstrations, designed for limited space and equipment.

10 competitive games

With images and video explanations. Real drills we currently use at Goldfinch.

No fluff. No circus drills. No chaos.

Just organized, competitive structure that works.

Where this comes from

These warm-ups and games are taught by Tucker Herzberg. Tucker works at Goldfinch with me, training middle school, high school, college, and semi-professional athletes.

Before coming to Iowa, Tucker worked with Maryland men’s basketball under Kyle Tarp. That environment demanded high standards, intentional structure, efficient use of time, and competitive energy without chaos. What he learned in a D1 basketball setting he now applies daily at Goldfinch.

These aren’t theoretical drills. They’re built from high-level experience and applied in real-world team settings.

Real world coaching impact

This is out of left field for you I'm sure, but because of the product you guys put out, and me implementing some of the game and organization stuff, these last 2 weeks have been my favorite 2 weeks in this position. Thank you!

I think for the kids too.

It's an absolute game changer. I've read the books, I've followed the youth development coaches and saved IG videos. This has been the missing link I've been looking for. Got the creative juices flowing and it's only going to get better.

Bro thanks! This is GOLDEN!!

The outcome

You are not buying fun drills. You are getting structured competition shaped in a D1 basketball environment and refined in daily team training.

  • More engaged athletes
  • Better energy from minute one
  • Competitive structure without losing control of the room

If you want warm-ups that are competitive, organized, and built from real D1 experience, this is it.

Built for real-world facilities

We don’t have unlimited space at Goldfinch. Everything in this resource was built with constraints in mind. If you coach in high school, college, the private sector, or shared facilities, this was built for you.

What does it cost?

$50

  • 20 drills total
  • Less than $2.50 per activity
  • One team lift pays for it
